HALO Product Warranty Program

(LENC PAINTS SDN. BHD. – “LPSB”)

1. General Terms & Conditions

1.1 The following General Terms & Conditions apply to:

  • HALO LuxeShield LC-606 PLUS 2:1 PREMIUM HS CLEAR
  • HALO TitanShield LC-707 2:1 UHS LOW VOC CLEAR
  • HALO HydroShield LC-909 2:1 UHS LOW VOC CLEAR
    (collectively the “HALO Signature Series Clear Coat”), together with:
  • HALO T939 2K Extra Slow Thinner
  • HALO 2K HB 4:1底漆
  • HALO Basecoat

(collectively referred to with the HALO Signature Series Clear Coat as the “Product”).

1.2 Eligibility & Registration

  1. The vehicle owner must register the warranty via www.lencpaints.com.my strictly through the designated QR code provided by the authorized HALO Signature Panel Workshop where the Product was applied. Any registration made without scanning the designated QR code shall render this warranty invalid.
  2. The warranty shall commence on the earlier of:
    (a) the date of first application of the Product to the vehicle; or
    (b) ninety (90) days from the date of purchase of the Product, as contained in the original receipt.
  3. Vehicles used for commercial purposes (past, present, or during the warranty period) are expressly excluded.
  4. Initial application must be performed by an authorized HALO Signature Panel Workshop, equipped with an oven spray booth and certified by LPSB.
  5. Any application, re-application, or repair must be performed only by a certified Product Installer or an Installer expressly authorized by LPSB. Any work performed by unauthorized third parties shall immediately void this warranty.
  6. LPSB must be notified of any claim due to failure of the Product within thirty (30) days of occurrence.
  7. Warranty is personal to the registered vehicle owner but may be transferred if the new owner complies with the Care Instructions under this Warranty Program.

2. General Liability Limitations

2.1 Scope of Protection

LPSB warrants that, upon proper application, the Product shall be free from premature clear coat film failure solely due to the following defects:

  1. HALO Signature Series Clear Coat, HALO 2K Primer HB 4:1 & HALO T939 2K Extra Slow Thinner – free from cracking issues upon application, defined as visible cracks within the clear coat film not caused by substrate, structural defects, or external factors.
  2. HALO Signature Series Clear Coat, HALO 2K Primer HB 4:1, HALO Basecoat & HALO T939 2K Extra Slow Thinner – free from cracking as above, and from peeling, defined as the clear coat detaching from the base paint or vehicle surface, not arising from substrate defects or external damage.

2.2 Insurance Coverage

The HALO Signature Series Clear Coat is insured under Allianz Product Liability Insurance. For clarity:

  • Vehicle owners shall not make claims directly to Allianz.
  • All claims must be submitted via the workshop of original application (or other authorized workshop designated by LPSB).
  • The workshop liaises with LPSB, and LPSB handles all matters with Allianz.

2.3 Exclusions of Liability

LPSB shall not be liable for:

  1. Pre-existing paint defects, poor workmanship, or substandard materials from the vehicle manufacturer, dealer, or any unauthorized third party.
  2. Surface imperfections such as swirl marks, scratches, scuffs, chips, or water spots.
  3. Purely aesthetic issues (loss of gloss, hydrophobicity, or minor swirl marks) not affecting coating integrity.
  4. Matters covered by the vehicle manufacturer’s warranty.
  5. Damage caused by:
    1. manual/automatic wash brushes,
    2. contaminated or abrasive cloths,
    3. untreated accident repairs,
    4. vandalism,
    5. moisture retention from ponding,
    6. contaminants such as tar, bird droppings, tree sap, or stone chips.
  6. Normal wear and tear, misuse, abuse, or misapplication.
  7. Gradual deterioration due to natural weathering.
  8. Defects caused by improper application not in line with LPSB’s official guidelines.

2.4 Warranty Invalidations

Warranty will be void if:

  1. Vehicle maintenance is neglected, or Care Instructions are not followed.
  2. Abrasive compounds, waxes, polishes, or third-party products are used.
  3. Vehicle is used for racing or subject to abuse.
  4. Damage arises from rust, oxidation, fire, flood, or force majeure events.
  5. Accident-damaged areas are not repaired/re-treated as required.
  6. Vehicle surfaces are altered or modified.
  7. Any other Terms & Conditions herein are breached.

3. Product Warranty

3.1 Warranty Period

3.2 Warranty Limits

  1. Within the first 3 years, LPSB will provide replacement product plus reimbursement of labour charges for reapplication/restoration.
  2. During years 4–5, warranty covers replacement product only (labour excluded).
  3. Reapplication/restoration must be performed at the original workshop, unless unavailable, in which case LPSB will designate an alternative authorized workshop.
  4. Any works performed at non-authorized workshops shall nullify warranty coverage.
  5. Any excess costs, site clearance, transport, or ancillary charges are borne by the vehicle owner.
  6. Delivery of replacement product under warranty shall not extend the original warranty period.

4. Warranty Claim Procedure

4.1 Only vehicles registered via the authorized QR code process are eligible. Claims without valid QR-linked registration are void.

4.2 Procedure:
  1. Vehicle owner returns to the authorized HALO Signature Panel Workshop of original application.
  2. Workshop inspects vehicle, notifies LPSB, and submits claim form/details.
  3. LPSB verifies registration and warranty validity.
  4. If valid, LPSB processes and liaises with Allianz.
  5. Workshop receives outcome and instructions for rectification.

4.3 All claim communications flow through the workshop. Vehicle owners may only contact LPSB Careline (+6012-7727730) or e-mail (e-warranty@lencpaints.com.my) for general inquiries.

4.4 Claims must be lodged with LPSB within 30 days of defect occurrence.

4.5 Vehicles must be presented for inspection by LPSB or its appointed workshop. LPSB’s findings, after investigation, shall be final and binding.

5. Vehicle Accident Damage

Vehicle owners are responsible to ensure that their vehicle insurance includes coverage for the Product and related ancillary services.

6. Miscellaneous

  1. Rights under this warranty are non-transferable without LPSB’s approval (except as provided under Clause 1.2.7).
  2. This warranty is governed by Malaysian law.
  3. Failure to comply with processes, care instructions, or clauses herein will bar claims.
  4. LPSB reserves the right to substitute materials/products of equal quality if originals become obsolete or unavailable.
  5. This warranty excludes all implied warranties of fitness to the fullest extent permitted by law.
  6. In the event of conflict, this Warranty prevails over any other LPSB materials.
  7. LPSB reserves the right to amend or modify this warranty at any time.
  8. Registration constitutes acceptance of all terms and conditions.

7. Care Instructions

7.1 Monthly Maintenance – HALO CLEARCOAT BOOSTER+

  • Apply once per month to restore hydrophobic performance, gloss, and protection.
  • Essential to warranty validity.

7.2 Washing Guidance

  • Hand-wash or touch-less only (foam gun/pressure washer).
  • Avoid automatic brush washes.
  • Use only quality car wash soap.
  • Do not wash in direct sunlight; avoid abrasive towels.

7.3 Avoid the Following

  • Parking near sprinklers or under trees.
  • Allowing bird droppings, sap, tar, or pollen to remain on the surface.
  • Using abrasive/aggressive washing methods.

7.4 Contaminant Removal

  • Remove droppings, tar, sap, or insects immediately.
  • Use alcohol-based solvents and microfiber towel.
  • Reapply HALO CLEARCOAT BOOSTER+ after cleaning.

7.5 Correct Washing Method

  • Wash from top to bottom; wheels last.
  • Separate towels/mitts for body and wheels.
  • Rinse with pressure washer or hose.
  • Dry only with clean microfiber (no air-dry).
